Manchester United Champions League Squad Confirmed (SEE FULL LIST SQUAD DETAILS)

Wednesday, 5 September 2018

Manchester United's Champions League squad has been confirmed.

Summer signings Diogo Dalot, Fred and Lee Grant are all included along with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku.

Marcus Rashford is not on the list but that is because he qualifies as a homegrown player and is young enough to not have to be included on the squad list to feature in the competition.

The rules for the list are quite simple: there is a 25-man ‘A list’ of which two players must be goalkeepers. At least eight places must go to ‘locally trained players’. If a club can only field seven locally-trained players, their squad size is reduced to 24 (or six down to 23, five to 22 etc).

Any players born on January 1997 or thereafter do not have to be included in the ‘A list’.

Jose Mourinho will be able to make changes to his squad if United make it through the competition's knockout phase. A maximum of three changes can be made for the knockouts, with the deadline for changes at midnight on February 1 2019.
