Chelsea out-of-favour playmaker could the leave team in January

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri started to rebuild the club and preparing to sell several players to free up some space. Tiemoue Bakayoko already left the Blues and joined Milan in this summer on loan deal. There still are too many midfielders and someone has to leave the club during the transfer window. Fabregas is the main option as he is already 30-year-old and can’t compete with Kante, Jorginho or Barkley. London club also added Mateo Kovacic from Real Madrid.

Cesc joined Chelsea from Barcelona in 2014 with a £30m deal. He became an unchanged figure for the club and won 2 Premier League but now situation changed after Sarri arrived in London. Italian manager wants to give chance to young midfielders like Loftus-Cheek and Ross Barkley. Drinkwater also preparing to leave the club in this summer. The Spanish midfielder is contracted with the Blues until 2019 and his release clause is around £30m. Several big clubs will sign him with a pleasure as he still can play in high-class.

In this season he played 50 games, scored 3 goals and made 5 assists in all competition. The 31-year-old won many titles during the career including World Cup in 2010 and Euro championship two times with his national team.
